What AlphaSwap is (and what it isn't)

AlphaSwap is a peer-matching escrow desk. It is never the counterparty to your trade and holds no inventory — it takes no position on the price of BTX. It only matches a real seller with a real buyer and guarantees that both legs deliver.

You never send funds directly to a stranger. Each trade gets its own freshly generated deposit address. Once both sides are funded and confirmed, the desk pays out each leg to the other party. If a trade doesn't complete, timeouts return the funds.

Be clear on the custody model: this is a custodial escrow desk. For the life of a trade, the desk holds the funds — it issues the deposit addresses and signs both settlement legs. It holds no standing balances and nothing between trades. That's the tradeoff that removes the need for wallet-connect, message signing, or trusting the person on the other side.

What you need

A BTX wallet

To send the BTX you're selling, or receive the BTX you're buying.

USDC on Base

MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or any wallet on Base mainnet holding USDC.

Telegram

Trading runs through the bot. The live book and chart are on the web.

There is no wallet-connect and no message signing anywhere in the flow. You only ever send funds to an address and receive funds at an address you provide.

Sell BTX for USDC

  1. 1 Create your listing. Open @BotAlphaSwapBot and choose Sell BTX. You'll enter the amount of BTX, your asking price in USDC per BTX, and the Base address where you want your USDC paid.
  2. 2 Fund the escrow. The bot gives you a one-time BTX deposit address. Send your BTX there. Nothing is listed until it arrives.
  3. 3 Your ask goes LIVE. After confirmations, your listing appears in the public book at swap.alphapool.tech where any buyer can fill it.
  4. 4 Get paid. When a buyer funds their side, the USDC lands in your Base wallet. The bot shows your exact net proceeds before you commit. Not filled in time? Your BTX is refunded automatically.

Buy BTX with USDC

  1. 1 Browse the book. Open swap.alphapool.tech or the bot to see every live ask, with amounts and prices.
  2. 2 Take an ask. Give the BTX address where you want to receive. The desk returns a one-time USDC deposit address and the exact amount to send.
  3. 3 Send USDC on Base. Send the exact amount to that address. Double-check you're on Base mainnet — not Ethereum, not another L2.
  4. 4 Receive your BTX. Once confirmed, the desk delivers the BTX to your address and the trade appears in the public settled feed.
Send promptly after taking. A take reserves the listing for a limited window so a seller isn't blocked indefinitely. If you're withdrawing from an exchange, start that withdrawal before you take, since exchange withdrawals can be slow.

How pricing works

Sellers set their own asking price — the book shows exactly what each seller is asking, and the buyer pays that price. There is no separate buyer fee added on top of the ask, and no bidding or matching engine deciding your price for you.

Before you commit to either side, the bot shows you the exact amounts: what you send, and what you receive. Nothing is deducted that you haven't already seen.

Safety, in plain terms

Per-trade escrow. The desk holds funds only while a swap is in flight. Every trade gets its own deposit addresses; nothing is pooled.

Timeouts return funds. An unfilled listing is refunded to the seller. A trade that stalls is unwound rather than left hanging.

Chain-aware settlement. BTX is a young chain that reorganizes more than most, so deposits are held for a deep confirmation window, and an automatic fork-sentinel pauses settlement if the chain looks unstable. Trades never settle against a reorg.

This is a public beta on a small community coin. Trade sizes should be small. If something looks wrong, or you have a question, tell us in Telegram or Discord — that's exactly what the beta is for.
